When I came to this country from Puerto Rico over twenty five years ago, I remember that there were hardly any Hispanics in my neighborhood, and that not too many people were concerned with the buying power of the Latinos or for that matter, no one courted their vote. However all that has changed dramatically, and anyone with a brain knows that Hispanics are a force to be reckoned with, and that our vote really counts.

For that reason, the brilliant minds behind the democratic candidates such as Senator Hillary Clinton, were more than willing to accept an invitation to take part in a Spanish language debate. Yet, in an attempt to give Hispanic voters a fair chance to look at all the candidates out there, Univision invited the Republican candidates to bring their case before the Hispanic voters, but all the Republican candidates with the exception of Senator John McCain have out flat ignored the invitation from the powerful television station. Why one may ask?

The answer is simple: They do not want the Hispanic vote! As a matter of fact, most of this fellows do not want Hispanics period. If it was up to many of them, they would send all Hispanics back to their respective countries. So Hispanics be ready to show these Republican candidates that we really matter. Get to the polls and vote democrat across the board, so that we can have a fair chance in this great country of ours.
